THE ESSENCE

In 2017, I entered the vibrant world of Drag Kinging and since then it has become an essential part of my life. For me, being a Drag King feels natural and deeply fulfilling - both on and off the stage.

WHAT DRIVES ME

Drag Kinging is a bold statement. It is a medium for challenging visual habits, playfully deconstructing stereotypes, and making an active contribution to community building. In every new character, I experience the transformative power of metamorphosis—liberated, empowered, and each time a bit more authentically myself.

MY KINGS: A KALEIDOSCOPE OF IDENTITIES

My characters are as diverse as masculinity* itself. Inspired by personal experiences and social observations, I create spaces for new narratives:

A workshop report on the deconstruction of [femininities] and the collective power of transformation in the performing arts.

For International Women's Day 2026 at Alte Münze Berlin, Marilyn Nova White reflects on the physical staging of power: How can we rewrite the steps of patriarchy through Drag Kinging? A contribution on resistance and transformation.

Best workshop ever! The whole group was so lovely, and a safe space was created, thanks to Marilyn. Everyone felt seen and heard; we could easily follow Marilyn and try out everything they showed us. The days were well-structured, covering both theory and practice on Drag Kings. We were regularly checked in on, as it was a very intensive workshop.

WHY MALED IT! ?

Authentic Drag King workshops are rare. Since 2018, as one of the few Drag Kings in Germany, I have been sharing my expertise worldwide. MALED IT! is my signature method for passing on the techniques that changed my perspective on the world.

I combine my experience as a performer and actor with a solid foundation in theater pedagogy. This is about more than just makeup—it’s about empowerment, political visibility, and a radical joy of play.

THE EXPERIENCE: TRANSFORMATION ON EVERY LEVEL

We create a space where we make clichés tangible—both theoretically and practically—only to break them with relish.

  • Theory & Reflection: Dialogue on gender, power, and norms.

  • Craft: Beard techniques, penis-building (packing), binding tips, and makeup.

  • Performance: Bodywork, vocal training, and acting methods.
